Soul on Fire
My week started with hesitation—quiet questions, loose expectations. Would this be too much or just in time? The kind of wondering that shows up when my soul is hungry, but not quite sure what it’s hungry for.
Then came morning. Cool air, zipped bags, a sun warming the edges of everything. It was beginning—not just a festival, but something in me. Something dormant gently kindled and caught fire.
The day unfolded in pulses: dancing bodies, sudden laughter, quiet kindnesses. And then, a familiar face. A voice that steadies. A lighthouse. A reminder of a love that demands nothing but my becoming. Welcome home.
Movement, momentum, joy and a reminder to trust my body. To laugh. To love. To burn with a brightness that comes from within and reaches out.
And as the sky dimmed and the fire crackled, I stayed, sang at midnight, and watched the sparks ascend to light something far above me and beyond me. And I was reminded of the joy in tending a fire with song.
